




Chad Pelley’s fiction has been recognized by a dozen literary awards. His debut novel, Away from Everywhere (2009), was a Coles bestseller, and was adapted into a film starring Jason Priestley, Joanne Kelly, and Shawn Doyle. His second novel, Every Little Thing (2013), was shortlisted for the ReLit Award, and his collection of short stories, Four Letter Words (2016), was shortlisted for the Alistair MacLeod Short Fiction Prize, among other awards.
Chad has facilitated a creative writing course at Memorial University, sold photography in retail outlets province-wide, wrote journalism for publications such as Globe and Mail and Telegraph-Journal and founded The Overcast: Newfoundland’s Alternative Newspaper.
He works by day as a communications manager, most recently for Memorial University, The Health Care Foundation, and Food First NL, and also maintains a client base as a freelancer.
